Global Missions

Go.... where you never thought you would.
Do.... what you never thought you could.
Be.... what you always knew you should.
The purpose of the global Missions Ministry is to glorify God through obedience to the Great Commission using Acts 1:8 as the direction. The strategy is to educate, motivate and mobilize
the church members for this purpose. Fasten your seat belt. Stow away your tray table. Put your seat in the upright position, and prepare to take off on a journey with the Lord that will change your life forever. are you up to it? If so, pray and then attend one or all of the mission trip informational meetings. We are touching the world for Christ. Join a mission team!

WMU CookbookThe ladies of the Women on Mission (WMU) need your help! We are creating a cookbook to support local and foreign missions. Now that you are dusting off your tried-and-true recipes for the upcoming holidays, why not share them with us? From appetizers and main entrees, to kids cuisine and international dishes...anything goes! Please submit your favorite recipes to WMUCookbook@carolina.rr.com. Or you can drop your recipes in the box in the GCRC. If you have any questions, please email Dawn Brantley at lovestoplant2003@yahoo.com |

Love in ActionAre you "mission minded"? Being a missionary starts in the heart, and you don't have to leave your country to be one. There are people in need of Jesus in our own city! Love in Action is a group of men, woman and children that reaches out to people in need in the name of Jesus presenting a family mission lifestyle. We currently serve with the following ministries: Carillon Assisted Living, Crisis Pregnancy Center, Thompson's Child & Family Focus, Birthday Blessings (birthday parties for homeless children), Urban Restoration (inner-city outreach), Christians United for People - CUP (homeless ministry), Second Harvest Food Bank, and Redeemer's Recovery Ranch (women's addiction recovery home). We also organize seasonal projects including Angel Tree and Operation Christmas Child, hold special events for military families, and other one-time projects. There is a place for everyone! For more information, please call Angie Trapp at 704-301-2546, or email atrapp@carolina.rr.com. |
